Excerpt from the book

Here's a little excerpt from the book for you to enjoy:

He squeezes in beside her and Naomi floors the gas pedal. Isla looks down at her arms to see bite marks and several deep scratches across her skin. Glancing across to Aaron she sees that he is far worse off than she is. His eye is puffy and swollen and deep scratches cover his face. She can see blood seeping through his sweatpants,
“We need to return to Issac’s. Mr McCarthy can help” Isla says. Aaron follows her gaze.
“It’s nothing. We need to get to the Miller house” he says.
“And what about the invisible travellers that only you two can see? How do we deal with them?” Naomi questions.
“They will follow” Aaron says.
“Are you out of your fucking mind? Why trap ourselves in a broken down house to deal with one ghost only to leave us as bait for the others?” Naomi cries in outrage.
“Do you want them let loose on the village? We have a way of dealing with them. The rest of Prymoor knows nothing about the curse” Aaron replies.
“And just how do you plan on dealing with them, Aaron? Because from where I was it looked like a struggle. Neither of you are unscathed and that’s from one of them” Naomi points out.
“We make a circle. It will protect us, but I need to make a stop first” Aaron says.
“A circle? You seriously expect me to believe that will work? What about Bethany? She’s basically immortal,” Naomi cries.
“Her soul is. We kill the body then deal with the spirit from the circle” he says.
“I have to agree with Naomi on this, Aaron. You’re putting a lot of faith in folktale” Ross says.
“All of this shit is folktale, Ross. Why wouldn’t it work? Or more importantly what other choice do we have? Bethany holds the power now. She killed the Mayor and is ready to cleanse the village of the founders or so she said. I’m not ready to be cleansed” Aaron growls.
